20 Aug Plant Your Own Garden
Planting a garden can be a bit messy.
Prepare your feet with the gospel of peace as you plow the soil of your heart and plant the seeds of His Word.
“The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord” (Proverbs 16:1).
Preparation is a KEY to walking in PEACE!
Preparation takes time and in this busy world is often neglected. Then we come to a point where we look around and wonder, what happened! Preparation of the soil of your heart determines the fruit from your garden of life.
When the soil is not prepared and left unattended, weeds of disappointment and discouragement will choke the life from the soil of your heart.
How do you cultivate the soil of your heart and turn the ground over?
Thanksgiving turns your heart towards God and prepared the soil for a miracle!
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (2 Thes. 5:13)
We are not giving thanksgiving for everything, but IN everything. I can give thanks because I know that
He is with me and that He has promised to never leave me or forsake me and that there is absolutely nothing that separate me from the love of God.
As we keep the soil of our heart cultivated with praise and thanksgiving we will hear His Voice and be led by His Spirit.
The fruit of the Spirit will spring forth from our heart and we can rest knowing with God all things are possible!
